When a woman says she wants a man that makes six figures, is 6 ft tall, and handsome people say, go for it. But when a man says he wants a woman who is healthy, cooks, and attractive people say he’s sexist. Today we are going to talk about infuriating double standards that men deal with.

1. Phrasing

Men have to be very careful with how you speak now a days. Instead of saying they want a woman who can cook, clean and is healthy, they can instead say that they want a woman who is nurturing, smart, has a great sense of humor and could be a good mother.

2. Initiating Fun in the Bedroom

Most of the time its usually the guy who initiates sex and girls usually just stay quiet. But If he can’t preform because he could have ED (erectile dysfunction) then he’s the one feeling self conscious. Also if he just isn’t in the mood for sex, she automatically suspects that something strange is going on.

3. Modern Dating

Women have 1000’s of options when dating and picking the right guy but men not so much no matter how good looking we are. Dating for men is like a job interview and for women its like choosing an item off a menu, however there is a positive side to this analogy. If dating for guys is like a job interview, the good thing is that you can choose which “job” you’re going to apply for while women don’t always get to choose the “menu”.

4. Paying for the First Date

Its important to realize that paying for the first date is something that is completely based on your opinion on how to take a girl out. Nonetheless men are still under this “traditional standard” of having to pay or be labeled as “CHEAP” for not paying on a first date or splitting the bill. Women don’t go through this. Having said that it’s also important to add that after the first initial date she now has to show you that she is willing to split the bill or pay for her own meal. This is to show you that she is independent and didn’t just go for a free meal.

5. Bargaining Power

Many people believe that women have all the “bargaining power” when it comes to negotiating in a relationship. However this is simply not true because the power that you posses is just as strong as hers. What is it? Its the will to simply walk away. You have to remember your standards and know that you two can compromise to better strengthen the relationship.

6. Height and Weight Standards

Women know what they want when it comes to choosing a man. They know how they want their man to dress, act and look. When it comes to physical traits they can go ahead and shout to the world this is what they like but men cannot.

Meanwhile when men say what they like it’s deemed sexist, misogynist, body shaming and a danger to society.

7. Forced to Treat Her Like Royalty

Many people always say that you must treat your girl like a queen. But you have to think about it. Does she truly deserve to be treated like a queen? If she treats other people like shit and with no respect then she does not deserve that title.

Men on the other hand do not get any special treatment or labels like women do. The difference is Men have to EARN these titles as Kings, CEO’s, Bosses, Lords, etc. Ain’t that a bitch?

Final Thoughts

Double standards is defined as a code or policy that favors one group or person over another. Men and women having to deal with these double standards and this is something that must be fixed or else it will only lead to more conflict between each other.

Today’s dating world is very toxic “online” but in the real world it’s different. Let’s be optimistic about our future love lives and just make sure we raise our standards enough to choose the right person that will never conform us to these double standards. Stay safe our there everyone!
