Twitch Streamer, Disguised Toast has made some bold statements about live streaming on Twitch and his best tips on how to become a famous streamer! Disguised Toast’s first piece of advice involves being an amazing player. This means that being an Amazing COD Warzone or Valorant player will automatically gain you an audience because people like to see winners and insane gameplay. People will enjoy your content purely for your gaming skills and dominance of the genre. This advice makes sense because when you enter a new stream and you see someone win the game you immediately build trust in the player’s abilities to deliver great content and strategies that you might have not known otherwise. This of course is NOT EASY and one of the hardest ways to gain views because being a master at a certain game takes a lot of time and effort.
Another great piece of advice that Disguised Toast focuses on is the ability to market yourself on other platforms. The whole video above actually bashes Twitch’s horrible Search feature in the first minute. Toast explains that it is really outdated and doesn’t help you find great streamers at all. It is an antiquated system that only benefits streamers with a decent following and makes it impossible for new talent to get a chance at becoming big on Twitch. There are literally thousands of streamers with zero to 2 viewers in the search features when you try to find a new channel to follow. This advice from Disguised Toast also makes sense because building up your following on YouTube, Reddit, Instagram or TikTok can actually increase your visibility in spaces where gaming content might not be saturated yet. It also gives you an opportunity to stand out from all the competition and grow followers that can convert over to Twitch and add an extra view to your count. The whole point of the video was to learn how to gain views and have the biggest following on Twitch with a clear strategy.
Final Thoughts
At first I thought this video was just going to be click bait but Disguised Toast actually made a lot of sense. Although he did give more than 1 “trick” to become a famous streamer, the advice he suggested on his YouTube video could really make a difference in your streams. I don’t think it will make you a famous streamer overnight but I do think it does hold weight because this is how Disguised Toast made it on Twitch and is now part of a major organization like OTK. There is definitely credibility in his strategies and it will for sure make you gain some views but don’t expect to go viral overnight.
